Finnish mobile device maker Nokia announced today that a big announcement will be made on 23 July, but it seems that Finnish publication Puhelinvertailu leaked the announcement before the official event.
Puhelinvertailu revealed the new Nokia Lumia 625, which matches the specifications revealed last week by a Chinese certification site.
According to the publication, they have received reliable information that it is indeed the phone that will be unveiled tomorrow.
“We (have) received reliable information. Nokia teased today an announcement for tomorrow at 11:00 am as something BIG. This is the Lumia 625 smartphone, and the Lumia 625’s LCD screen is 4.7 inches in size,” a translation of the Finnish website read.
Engadget also speculated a bit more on the specifications. “It’ll apparently sport a 4.7-inch Gorilla Glass 2 IPS WVGA (800 x 480) LCD, a 1.2-GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 512MB RAM and a 2,000mAh battery,” they wrote.
According to the product specification page on Puhelinvertailu, the device will make use of Windows Phone 8, a rear 5-megapixel camera with 1080p recording, a front-facing VGA shooter, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, seven GB of SkyDrive space and a microSD card slot (up to 64GB).
“The Lumia 625’s contained amenities include a Beta Drive Here, Here Maps, Transit Here, Nokia Music and Smart Camera. Available colours are orange, bright green, yellow, white and black,” Puhelinvertailu added.
