The Star reports on an announcement by the Ministry of Information and Communication to improve infrastructure across all counties nationally.

Director of Information at the Ministry Olewe Owiti has confirmed a partnership with the United Nations Development Programme in a three-year ICT for Development (ICT4D) programme to increase the knowledge base of rural communities.
“The overall objective of the Ministry of information and Communications in collaboration with other stakeholders is to create a knowledge-based information society that will enable the country to meet the challenges of the 21st century,” Owiti is reported to have said.
Owiti also underlined the status of the countries ICT sector for investors, including the youth and low income entrepreneurs.
