Africa’s leading ICT publication ITNewsAfrica has announced that Avanade and HP have thrown their weight behind the February 27 edition of the Innovation Dinner series. The theme chosen for this event is “BYOD – re-thinking your device strategies.”
The Innovation Dinner Series, an event that takes place every two months, provides a platform for networking amongst Africa’s ICT professionals, entrepreneurs and business people.
Sponsors recognise the value proposition of this critical industry event, one that includes building relationships, accelerating sales, networking with visionary leaders and interaction with top talent within the IT industry.
The next event, scheduled for 27 February at the Hyatt Regency in Johannesburg, will see ICT decision makers, senior government officials, experts and business leaders discuss the impact of BYOD on existing enterprise IT policies.
As some corporations embrace the mobile, remote workplace and others start to allow employees to buy their own hardware, IT must go beyond desktop virtualization to manage risk and control performance.
This dinner will give business executives and a wide array of business technology decision makers, a holistic view of how personal technology is changing and infusing the workplace – with the ability to drive innovation and productivity to new heights.
Previous sponsors of ITNewsAfrica’s Innovation Dinners include BlackBerry, IBM, Internet Solutions, HP, MTN, SAP, Ericsson and Huawei amongst others.
“I keep attending the dinners because I have a passion for new innovations, my need to network and of course the food is great,” comments Emson Moyo, former CTO, GIJIMA.
“It is a brilliant and great networking opportunity. I keep attending because you get appraised on new market trends and a plus is an opportunity to socialise and catch up with colleagues in the industry,” says Manoj Bhoola, Managing Director, Avanade.
