United Arab Emirates-based telecom operator, Etisalat, has announced a partnership between its subsidiary, Etisalat Misr, and China’s mobile company, Huawei, to boost telecommunications in Egypt.
A statement from the country’s third mobile operator explains that the two companies have taken their “existing collaboration to a new level by signing a strategic partnership agreement.”
The statement continued to say that the deal “aims to introduce advanced services in MBB, VAS, B2B, green energy, CRM, LTE and FMC in Egypt, overcoming the challenges in the Egyptian telecommunications industry and enhancing customer satisfaction in terms of quality, speed and reliability.”
With Egypt facing an uncertain political and economic future, the deal hopes to help boost Internet and telecom services in the country by reducing prices and offering greater options for users and business owners.
