iPhone 5 available on MTN tomorrow

MTN South Africa has announced it will offer the iPhone 5 in South Africa beginning Friday December 14. Customers can now pre-register for the device.

iPhone 5 will be available on 24 month contract for ZAR 529 per month for the 16GB model, ZAR 579 per month for the 32GB model and ZAR 629 per month for the 64GB model at selected MTN stores. iPhone 5 customers will be able to connect to MTN South Africa’s fast, HSPA+ and DC–HSDPA network.

iPhone 5 is the thinnest and lightest iPhone ever, completely redesigned to feature a stunning new 4-inch Retina display; an Apple-designed A6 chip for blazing fast performance; and ultrafast wireless technology—all while delivering even better battery life.  iPhone 5 comes with iOS 6, the world’s most advanced mobile operating system with over 200 new features including: Shared Photo Streams, Facebook integration, all-new Maps app and Passbook organisation.

MTN SA customers now have access to the iTunes Store in South Africa featuring an incredible catalog of over 20 million songs. The iTunes Store is available in 119 countries and is the best way for iPhone, iPad, iPod, Mac and PC users to discover, purchase and download music online.
