mapIT has announced its offer of free maps to businesses and individuals who wish to use maps on their website. This includes blogs or other social network outlets in order to locate company premises, directions to events, clubs or for which ever purpose that may require a pinpointed descriptive map and door-to-door directions.
mapIT maps are based on TomTom’s offering and allow the user to upload their preferred appearance on to the map by uploading a branded logo as well as the option of adding an icon to identify the exact position on the map.
This gives the user complete control of the look and feel of the map to their brand’s specifications. HTML code is generated in three simple steps; by adding the location and contact details, the branded logos and thirdly the required size of the map needed, this code then can be copied and pasted into the website.
Individuals can place up to five free map locations per website and receive up to twenty thousand free transactions per month on the map database.
