Rochat’s appointment has been made following the rapid growth that Exinda has experienced in South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa since setting up its local office in September 2011. The company has secured key national partners – Bytes Systems Integration, Layer 7 Networking and Gijima and also established a significant customer base across the public and private sectors.

As part of his responsibilities in his new position, Rochat will continue to drive Exinda’s rapid growth and expand the company footprint in South Africa. He will also be maintaining and building on existing client and channel relationships as well as extending the company’s brand and customer base over the fast growing, but bandwidth hungry sub-Saharan region.

“I look forward to growing a great business with our exceptional solutions. Having been in the networking business I know there is a great need for effective WAN optimisation in not only South Africa, but also the sub-Saharan region,” Rochat explains. “To operate in this region, its imperative that customers receive not only a solution that delivers immediate results, but, exceptional customer service and technical backup. I am confident that together with my South African team, and being able to draw on strong international support when necessary, that we will achieve our next set of business objectives.”

Rochat brings more than 15 years of experience as an IT professional. This included working for two of the largest IT systems integrators in Africa, Gijima and Bytes Communications, in sales engineering roles. He then focused on the WAN optimisation market where he developed significant knowledge in the business networking market across sub-Saharan Africa.

Rochat holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree with majors in computer studies and marketing.

Exinda enables organisations to assure the user experience for their strategic business applications through policy-based WAN optimization that intelligently applies acceleration and containment based on the priorities of the business.
