Samsung Electronics in South Africa has announced the local availability of the second generation Samsung Series 9 notebook.
Following the debut of its predecessor at the Consumer Electronics Show 2011, the new Samsung Series 9 demonstrates the company’s advanced and innovative craftsmanship in the premium notebook market.
“The new Samsung Series 9 represents the ultimate in craftsmanship towards precision engineering and premium design. It embodies the originality and heritage of its predecessor while eliminating unnecessary factors. The refined aerodynamic design represents the best of Samsung’s design with top performance and functionality,” says Thierry Boulanger, Director of IT at Samsung Electronics South Africa.
Customised for consumers striving for technology leading products with a revolutionary design, the new Series 9 boasts the world’s thinnest and most compact notebook chassis. Its unique design and innovative engineering pushes beyond current perceptions of premium notebook PCs.
The slim 14.9mm (0.58 inches) design weighs just 1.59kg, making the 15-inch Series 9 almost 50% more compact than any traditional 15-inch ultra-portable notebook. The new 13-inch Series 9 measures only 12.9mm (0.5 inches) and weighs just 1.16kg — 28% smaller than its predecessor.
The new Samsung Series 9 carries Samsung’s anti-reflective LED display technology with a 400nit HD+ LED SuperBright display and Image Enhancer technology providing users with a superior viewing experience even if they are working outdoors.
The Samsung Series 9 NP900X4D 15-inch-A01ZA is available at a recommended retail price of R14 999 and the NP900X3C 13-inch-A01ZA at a recommended retail price of R15 999.
