Massive social media website Facebook launched a camera application for users of Apple’s iOS, which will enable Facebook users to take a photo and simply upload it straight to the social media website.

“Today, we’re introducing Camera, a new mobile app that makes using Facebook photos faster and easier. When you launch the app, you’ll see a feed of just great photos from the people you care about. You can swipe to see more of any album or tap to enlarge an individual photo,” wrote Dirk Stoop on Facebook’s developer blog.
The app will also allow users to upload a large number of photos at the same time, and with one touch, people can be tagged in the pictures.
The app comes a couple of months after Facebook bought the popular photo app Instagram for $1-billion.
Facebook also released a dedicated camera app for Android phones with an update to the mobile app, but has since disappeared from the marketplace and users phones with a subsequent Facebook app update.
