8∙ta today announced that its Midnight Surfer data offering, which provides internet surfing at a discounted rate, will be extended by one hour, thus delivering more value for late night data users.
The data option will now be known as Night Surfer, rather than Midnight Surfer, as it has previously been known. Users will now be able to enjoy surfing on 8∙ta’s high speed network from 11pm, rather than midnight, until 5am.
Amith Maharaj, Senior Managing Executive at Telkom Mobile says, “We analysed our network load curves during the course of the day and have decided that we do have capacity at 23h00 to cater for increased network utilisation without compromising the user experience. This is a case of passing the benefit back to the customer.”
Night Surfing will provide value for money and enable consumers to surf the internet conveniently. Night Surfer is available as part of 8∙ta’s promotional data bundles which includes:
