Zantel, Tanzanian telecommunications operator, expressed excitement over their deal with Flytxt, a campaign management services provider, in getting closer to their mobile subscribers. Zantel said they aim to boost their subscriber base with the deal penned over the weekend.

Flytxt provides analytics capabilities, enabling Zantel to “provide [the] right offers to the right subscribers at the right time,” a company statement said.
Ahmed Mokhles, Zantel Chief Commercial Officer and Etisalat Group Senior Vice President, said Flytxt “was selected not just for their matured technology, but also for their consulting capability and proven global expertise in successfully managing a wide variety of mobile campaigns”.
Vinod Vasudevan, Flytxt CEO, said “their technology was designed to enhance marketer’s efficiency and allow them to be more creative and innovative in their mobile campaigns”.
Mokhles noted Tanzania’s potential and “if we move pieces properly we can achieve a great deal of success and this is a great partnership to those ends”.
Tanzania in recent years has seen a robust telecom sector competing in the fast-paced IT environment of East Africa.
