While Gears of War 3 fans have been getting their fill of multiplayer gaming with launch of the new Horde Command Pack, developer Epic Games and Microsoft decided to give players a little bit extra in return.
Epic Games announced that the Versus Booster Map Pack will be made available for free on Xbox LIVE Marketplace from 24 November, and will feature five new maps available in public matchmaking playlists – two favourite maps from Gears 1 (Swamp and Clocktower), as well as Azura, Rustlung and Blood Drive from the Horde Command Pack.
“While the Versus Booster Map Pack will unlock five new multiplayer battlegrounds for public matchmaking, those who purchase the “Horde Command Pack” will still have exclusive access to the pack’s Horde fortification upgrades, new playable characters like Bernie Mataki, Big Rig Dizzy and the Onyx Guard, as well as the Team Plasma and Jungle Camo weapon skins,” Epic Games said.
Although the year has already seen three pieces of DLC, Epic promised that more game add-ons will be made available next year.
