African distributor, Comztek is celebrating its win as the 2011 Microsoft South Africa Authorised Distributor of the year, which was announced at the 2011 Microsoft Partner Summit, held in Durban on Tuesday evening.

The win recognises Comztek’s commitment to not only delivering exemplary solutions to customers, but also working to consistently grow the Microsoft customer base, without losing focus on strong customer relationships.
“It has been a particularly strong year for the Comztek and Microsoft relationship, which has included the addition of Microsoft distributor rights for Zimbabwe; Microsoft Gold Volume Licensing competency, our appointment as one of nine global Microsoft Lync VAD distributors and now this award, as the 2011 South Africa Authorised Distributor of the Year,” said David Caygill, Comztek Business Unit Director.
Comztek’s distribution infrastructure across Africa, value added support services, dedicated Microsoft licensing resources and focussed vision to drive market share for Microsoft across the continent are paying dividends.
“As a technology distributor we are increasingly renowned for our ability and track record for taking global brands to market quickly. We’ve done this for Microsoft in East and Southern Africa.
“We have, as company, grown in our ability to deliver consistently year-on-year against growth and sales targets,” adds Paul Conradie, Comztek MD.
Mark Reynolds, head of the small and midmarket business and partner division at Microsoft South Africa, says that as a partner-centric business, Microsoft’s success is directly dependent upon the expertise, commitment and performance of its partners.
“Our partners have demonstrated a unique approach and exceptional dedication to aiding and empowering resellers to address the technology and business challenges of customers. Their efforts continue to bring incredible value to the companies it serves and the marketplace as a whole.”
