With the annual rAge gaming expo kicking off later today in Johannesburg, visitors will be treated to all the latest gaming and gadgets from around the world, and get sneak peeks at some of the unreleased games that will only be available later this year.

At the Megarom stand, visitors will be treated to private cinema style demonstrations of Tomb Raider, Hitman and The Darkness II. Tomb Raider is one of this year’s most talked about games will be available to see exclusively at the show. Tomb Raider has also been re-invented from the ground up, giving gamers a Lara that they have never been seen before.
Games that will be available to play at their stand includes Guild Wars 2, Ghost Recon Future Soldier, Assassins Creed Revelations and Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure.
Game.Dev will be presenting community sessions with some of SA’s most talented professional game developers, and developers will be available to answer questions about their games, have them available for testing and discuss what the world of game development is doing in South Africa.
Not to be outdone, Electronic Arts will also have a stand, where they will showcase their biggest releases for the coming months, which includes FIFA 12, Battlefield 3, Need for Speed The Run and Mass Effect 3.
For casual gamers, Nintendo will have playable demos available for Dead or Alive, Resident Evil and Pilot Wings, while the main focus of their exhibition will be on recently released The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D on the 3DS.
PlayStation 3 distributor Ster Kinekor will have Dead Rising 2: Off The Record, Dance Star Medieval Moves, Street Fighter vs Tekken, Racket and Clank All for One and Asura’s Wrath available for players to try out.
