Samsung Mobile South Africa has signed a partnership deal with UK-based conference company, All Amber. The deal will make Samsung Mobile South Africa the Platinum Sponsors for Mobile Entertainment Africa conference, which is taking place at the One&Only Hotel, Cape Town, from 23 – 24 August 2011 on the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, South Africa.
The signing of the agreement has further strengthened Samsung’s mobile division as one of the most forward-thinking and developer-focused organisations in South Africa. A particularly interesting element of the arrangement of the package is the securing of 10 developer tickets for the event. These tickets, which will be distributed by way of special invite, will afford 10 developers the opportunity of attending an extremely senior level conference.
“To have a company of the status of Samsung officially support this inaugural event is fantastic. It also demonstrates Samsung’s commitment to ecosystem-wide development across the electronics industry. It’s great that 10 developers, who represent future industry leaders, have been allowed to attend this conference, which is certain to be a highly progressive couple of days,” said Matthew Dawes, All Amber MD.
“For Samsung it’s a great event to be involved in. This crystallizes our intent to serve the South African market better with local and relevant content. From experience, I know that All Amber events are highly interactive, plus it’s focusing on such an important and emerging subject area. In terms of increasing data usage, future promotional opportunities and content creation and distribution, Mobile Entertainment Africa very much ticks all the right boxes,” said Brett Loubser, Head of Content at Samsung Mobile South Africa.
