Microsoft is about to release a new mouse, but the device hasn’t been formally announced to the public.
At Microsoft’s annual Christmas in July event in London, the new Microsoft Explorer Touch Mouse was displayed to a fortunate few, and a couple of pictures were snapped of the peripheral.
“The unannounced mouse comes equipped with Microsoft’s BlueTrack technology, allowing it to work on a number of surfaces. The mouse also features five customizable buttons which can also be switched for left and right handed use,” wrote Win Rumours.
“It also includes Microsoft’s Blue Track Technology which will let you use the Explorer on pretty much anything from a pair of jeans to a pebbled beach (though we’re not sure about that last one),” tech website T3 added.
It seems as though it’s more geared towards notebooks and features a haptic touch scroll pad similar to Microsoft’s Arc Touch. The mouse is also rumoured to vibrate slightly when using the scroll pad. Although it hasn’t been announced yet, it is expected to be available in July.
