HP’s TouchPad has barely been released in the US, and there are already plans to release an upgraded version later this year. From confidential product briefs, it was revealed that the company will release new webOS devices.
A new white TouchPad is due to hit the shelves in August, and will also receive a significant boost in terms of performance. The “white glossy” TouchPad will ship with 64GB of storage space and feature an upgraded processor chip, which might be a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon.
According to Precentral, “the AT&T cellular version of the TouchPad is due in August, and it’s due to be branded as 4G. The secret presentation indicates that the 32GB version will be available with support for AT&T’s 4G HSPA+ network, and apart from the addition of the new radio, won’t differ from the current 32GB TouchPad.”
