Comztek, a technology provider, has announced that it has signed a deal with HP that gives the company distribution rights for East Africa.
This is the third announcement in less than a year in which the relationship between the two companies has strengthened. The first deal was signed in August 2010 for the South African distribution rights and the second deal in April 2011 for the distributions rights for Southern Africa.
In terms of the agreement, Comztek’s resellers and customer base within East Africa, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Seychelles, Somalia, Tanzania and Uganda will now have access to the HP networking products and services range.
“The success that we have had with HP is largely due to the fact that Comztek’s mandate for the brand is a very focused one.
“Comztek has an undeniably strong position within the networking arena that complements HP’s channel centric model. The distribution rights for HP across East Africa will further enable us to expand our performance in South and Southern Africa to a further eight African countries and will allow us to provide a stronger offering for the SMB and mid-market tiers,” says Tiens Lange, Comztek’s business unit manager for the rest of Africa.
