AOC, a flat-screen monitors and TV brand, has appointed IT distribution company, Platinum Micro as an official distributor for their South African market.
AOC currently operates with in over 100 countries around the world.
“The Company will distribute a range of AOC monitors including the AOC Razor range of ultra-slim monitors which offer ultra-slim cabinets of just 0.92cm thickness and 1.2cm thickness with screen sizes ranging from 18.5 inches to 23 inches,” says Ricky Correia, General Manager for Platinum Micro.
“Locally the intention is to build up the AOC name in South Africa and turn it into a prominent household brand,” says Correia.
“We are glad to sign up with Platinum Micro and given the wide reach of Platinum in channels across the country, AOC will be able to penetrate further deep into the South African market” Tony Yu, Business Development Manager for AOC South Africa.
The scale of the AOC operation is vast. The company shipped 16-million monitor units worldwide. It is ranked sixth in the world’s leading brands and is committed to expanding its global footprint with a new focus on Africa, the Middle East and central Asia.

AOC has maintained an average annual growth of more than 20% for the past three years.
