Google Senior Vice President Andy Rubin recently announced that there are currently over half a million Android devices that are being activated every day.
Rubin made the announcement in Tweet, stating that “There are now over 500,000 Android devices activated every day, and it’s growing at 4.4 percent week-over-week.”
Website Gamasutra wrote that “This figure is up 100,000 from last month, when Google announced that 400,000 Android devices were being activated each day. It’s also approaching double the number of devices that were being activated each day back in December.”
As for the worldwide total, Google recently announced that there are over 100 million Android-enabled devices that have been activated so far.
