With new second generation Core i Intel architecture featuring Intel Core i5 and i7 dual core processors, the EliteBook offers incredible performance and responsiveness with built in enhanced graphics. With 2GB or 4GB RAM standard options and 320GB or 500GB hard drive options, these machines have enough power for serious multitasking and storage.
An external makeover gives the HP EliteBook 8460p and 8560p  series a professional finish, with an aerospace inspired look in HP’s signature platinum colour with a bead-blasted finish, and the tough DuraCase exterior designed to meet military standards for drop, vibration, dust, humidity, altitude and high temperature. Both machines in the range offer the same styling, with the 8460p in a compact 14″ form factor and the 8560p with a larger 15.6″ display.
“The HP EliteBook 8560p series features already impressive battery life, but with the addition of a high capacity battery the run time provided is seriously impressive. HP fast charge capability enables the machines to charge to 90% capacity within 90 minutes. The machines ship standard with a Windows 7 64-bit operating system and recovery media as well as the option of downgrading to a 32-bit system if required. An integrated 720p High Definition webcam enables easy video conferencing and chat capability and fingerprint reader with physical cable lock ensures physical and file security. Both devices feature a full sized keyboard, with the 8560p incorporating a numeric keypad. In keeping with a trend towards greater environmental friendliness the entire range is Energy Star compliant.
“All of the machines in the EliteBook range also ship with Office 2010 Starter Edition for plug-and-play productivity, and for added value each of these machines comes with a three year carry in warranty easily upgraded to HP premium onsite with a carepaq. A range of extras and accessories are available including a full docking solution, multiple monitor connections and extra connectivity options, making these devices perfect for home, office and field use,” Botha concludes.
