Globitel has announced it will participate in the Algeria Services Trade Fair to open on April 6. The effort is part of its plans of expanding into North Africa.
Analysts said that the move will be an important step in positioning the company to understand the market in Algeria and across the region in order to create the investment it allegedly desires.
“It is important that these types of companies come to Algeria and see how things are going because it could be a positive step toward reaching investment deals in the country and throughout the region,” said one analyst.
The Fair, organized in partnership with the Jordanian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Algerian Ministry of Trade and in cooperation with Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO), aims to “create new business opportunities and ventures between Algerian and Jordanian companies in various sectors including construction, insurance and banking and IT and telecom.”
Globitel said it would be attending the fair and presenting its line of products and services to potential customers through one-to-one meetings and general orientation presentations. Representing the company at the fair is Mohammad Farah, the Regional Manager responsible for the North African market.
Fadi Qutaishat, Globitel’s Vice President, said that “Our participation in the Algerian Services Trade Fair is a key to expanding our operations in Africa. Algeria has an unsaturated market filled with untapped potentials that Globitel can capitalize on in the IT and telecom sector. We aim to unlock new business opportunities and ventures and network with Algerian companies. We are delighted to take part in this fair, where we will be displaying our innovative products and technologies to Algerian audiences.”
