Telecom and engineering services firm IRIS Telecom has been acquired by Nokia Siemens Networks.
Through this acquisition, Nokia Siemens Networks hopes to combine the Turkey based company’s multi-vendor network planning and optimisation (NPO) business with its global capabilities, and create one of the region’s leading telecom services players.
IRIS provides high-quality network planning and optimisation services to telecom operators and equipment vendors in Turkey, and the regions of Eastern Europe and Central Asia, and Middle East and Africa, and delivers network deployment and operation services.
IRIS will continue to function as a separate legal entity with its head office in Istanbul, Turkey.
Financial details have yet to be disclosed.
