Running from October 6 – 9 just north of the capital Tunis, the event will see experts and industry leaders meet at the event to be hosted by Tunisia’s Agricultural Investment Promotion Agency (APIA).
Some 208 exhibitors will come from Germany, Belgium, Spain, France, Italy, Holland, Austria, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Canada, the United States and Tunisia.
The event, held bi-annually, will be “an opportunity to showcase the latest technologies in the agriculture and fisheries sector,” a statement from APIA said.
Hussam Tawil, a Sudanese agriculture specialist, told ITNewsAfrica that the event “is likely to be a good step toward self-sufficiency through the use of new technologies to maintain proper agriculture maintenance”.
According to APIA, the event aims at “promoting partnership meetings between Tunisian promoters and their foreign partners in order to foster joint projects”.
