Consumer electronics manufacturer Memorex has launched its first line of gaming accessories for Nintendo Wii, Wii Fit and DSi, including an expanded-range wireless sensor bar, a MotionPlus-compatible racing wheel, charging kits and accessory covers.
“As video game consoles such as Nintendo Wii become an increasingly popular at-home entertainment activity for families, it was a natural fit for us to create gaming accessories that help enhance the experience”, commented Jess Walton, global brand manager.
According to WeTime Parent Survey recently conducted online by Harris Interactive on behalf of Memorex, 51% of questioned parents declared video games as favourite activities with their tweenaged children. The studio revealed video game consoles as the preferred consumer electronics product after TVs and laptops.
Memorex’s accessories range includes a racing wheel for Wii with rubberised grips for better traction and a spring-loaded trigger, an expanded range wireless sensor for Wii that allows for an expansive player area for group games like Guitar Hero, a charging cable for Wii console, MotionPlus Remote and Nunchuk Sleevefor Wii, Dual Controller Charging Kit for Wii and a Starter Kit. The starter kit features a wireless sensor bar, two Ni-MH rechargeable batteries, gold-plated component cable and dual control charger.
Furthermore, Wii Fit fans will benefit from protective covers, fitness mat, rechargeable battery pack and starter pack, while DSi consoles are pampered with protective cases and even a car changing kit. In addition, screen protectors, stylus replacement kits and starter kits featuring high-quality Memorex CB 25 Earbuds for the Nintendo DSi will also be available.
