Outlook users can now download LinkedIn for Outlook and transform their desktop inboxes into a hub for all things LinkedIn.
The feature will be included with new copies of Office 2010 and will be available as downloadable add-ons for Office 2007 and Office 2003.
Back in November 2009, Microsoft introduced the Outlook Social Connector and announced their first partnership with LinkedIn. The Outlook Social Connector is a set of new features that bring together communications history, contact information, and professional and social networking information into the Outlook experience.
This move comes on the heels of Google’s Buzz, a new social networking component in its Gmail service.
