The world’s fastest-growing Business Intelligence (BI) company, QlikTech announced today the soon availability of its QlikView analytics application for Android platforms, said to leverage full interactivity in exploring information, rather than just than static reports currently available to Android users.
“QlikTech was formed on the premise that information should be accessed by the people that need it, when they need it. This is why we are so aggressive in our mobile product development strategy. We realise that when information is easily available, people rely on gaining answers wherever they may be”, commented Anthony Deighton, Senior Vice President of Product at QlikTech.
The company is known for its innovative BI applications for mobile support. After building a mobile interactive BI application for iPhone, the company focused their attention to Android. “We see great potential in Android as the platform of choice for business applications like analytics”, told Deighton.
Last week, Google finally launched their smatphone built on Android platform and Qlikview will release their application supporting Googlle Android in the following weeks at http://www.android.com/market.
Google Android has become increasingly popular with mobile phone manufacturers Sony Ericsson, Samsung, Motorola, HTC, Garmin and Vodafone.
QlikView for Android was developed in partnership with TAT, The Astonishing Tribe AB, who is well known for specialising in mobile user interfaces for companies like Google and Spotify.
