Research In Motion (RIM), the company behind the BlackBerry solution and telecommunications service provider, Nashua Mobile, have announced that they will be the joint sponsors of the “Tech Check” facility at the Nedbank Golf Challenge 2009.
The tournament, South Africa’s most prestigious annual international golf event, will take place this year from 3 December to 6 December. This is the fourth year running that Nashua Mobile has showcased solutions at the Nedbank Golf Challenge, and the first time that the BlackBerry® brand will have a major presence at the tournament.
The ‘BlackBerry Tech Check powered by Nashua Mobile’ facility gives golf fans attending the event a safe place to store technology gadgets, like cellphones and MP3 players, for safekeeping since they are not allowed on the golf course.
BlackBerry and Nashua Mobile promoters will be on hand to offer smartphone advice to golf fans attending the event. Make sure your photo is taken by these promoters to stand a chance to win a BlackBerry® Curve™ 8520 smartphone. Golfing fans will be able to learn about how BlackBerry® smartphones can help them to live balanced and organised lives and what deals Nashua Mobile can offer them.
Come have a look and hand in your mobile phone and technology gadgets at the ‘BlackBerry® Tech Check powered by Nashua Mobile’, which has an innovative new look and feel. You’ll be able to learn about how a BlackBerry smartphone could save you up to 60 minutes a day by turning your dead time into productive time, so that you can spend more time on the golf course or with your family and less time chained to your desk.
In addition, BlackBerry will be the smartphone of choice and Nashua Mobile will be the service provider of choice for the Nedbank Golf Challenge this year. BlackBerry and Nashua Mobile supplied 20 devices and airtime to the Nedbank Golf Challenge Tournament team so that they can communicate effectively as they organise and run one of Africa’s biggest golfing events.
