Mobile network provider Zain Nigeria has made it possible for their Nigerian customers to still make calls even when they do not have airtime on their phones. This has been done through the introduction of a new service called Zain Pay4Me.
Zain Pay4Me is effectively a collect call service, allowing customers to make calls even when they have no credit or airtime. This is done by requesting the receiving party to pay for the call.
Zain Nigeria’s Head of Corporate Communications, Emeka Oparah said: “We are glad at the opportunity to add Pay4me to our customer friendly bouquet of products and services because of the intrinsic value of the service. The introduction of Zain Pay4me underscores our commitment to satisfy our customers and give them a pleasant cellular experience,”
“At Zain, we are constantly focused on finding new ways to help our customers derive more benefits from their phones. We know it is possible to run out of credit at any time especially at crucial times such as during an emergency when a call to a friend or a family member or an expert can make a whole lot of difference. Also, employers can use the service to improve on communication with their employees and control cost of phone calls.”
He said the service is aimed at a wide spectrum of customers, adding that even students and children can keep in touch with their parents, teachers and guardians whether they have credit on their phones or not.
The ZainPay4Me service additionally allows customers a ‘white list’ choice up to ten mobile numbers that are permitted to call collect without the need of an ‘accept’ response. The can also ‘black list’ mobile numbers that are not allowed to call them using the Pay4Me service.
“The flexibility of adding or deleting numbers from the white and black lists makes Pay4Me service unique because situations may demand such actions, and that is another advantage the service offers subscribers,” Emeka added.
