THE sacking of Telkom’s chief operations officer Motlatsi Nzeku has taken another twist.
According to media reports, the dismissed official would challenge the decision, while unconfirmed reports suggest that Nzeku had prepared a dossier that made damning allegations against Telkom CEO Reuben September.
Nzeku’s lawyers are expected to protest his dismissal and lodge an application with the Council for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) this week.
The issues are expected to feature prominently when Telkom holds a board meeting tomorrow.
On Friday, the company dismissed Nzeku saying his role had become “extremely divisive and counter-productive to the progressive functioning of the Telkom.”
Before his appointment to the position he last held, Nzeku was the chief information officer of the company.
