LG announced the ‘Life’s Good When it’s Green’ initiative

LG_CEO_North_America.jpgLG Electronics, a major player in the information and computer technology industry, has pledged its commitment to reducing environmental hazards and developing appropriate products.

The company says it will achieve this through its worldwide “Life’s Good When it’s Green” programme, which focuses on sustainability through eco-design and eco-products, reduction of hazardous materials, responsible electronics recycling and addressing global climate change.


LG announced the “Life’s Good When it’s Green” initiative over the weekend.

“With Life’s Good When it’s Green programme, we are focusing on environmentally sustainable solutions, developing eco-designs and distributing eco-products to help create a safer, cleaner world,” said KW Kim, chief executive officer of LG Electronics (Middle East and Africa).

“We are committed to establishing clear operational accountability and creating products that not only enhance consumers’ lives but also encourage an environmentally responsible lifestyle,” said Kim.

The initiative follows the International Consumer Electronics exhibition in Las Vegas, United States from 9 to 11 January, where recycling and energy efficiency were highlighted.—ITNewsAfrica.
