Satellite Communications Limited (NIGCOMSAT) and Digitech have signed a commercial joint venture agreement to provide low cost direct to home services to all Nigerians.
The agreement is to reduce the entry for new broadcasting practitioners and also ensure technical infrastructure is not held up to broadcast practitioners. The venture would allow all Nigerians televisions and radios stations and over 200 other channels across the globe.
It will conclude the fact that existing broadcaster and prospective new pay TV and license Free to Air operators will be able to access Digitech facilities and overseas partners such as TELEMEDIA.
It will attract foreign investors and will also show the Nigerian culture resources which will help increase foreign investment. DIGITECH services will afford broadcasters with two distinct advantages, their services become national where any Nigerian can receive their signals anywhere and West Africa countries will be able to through a decoder.
