Google.Office.jpgThe launch of ‘Google Insights for search’ is being promoted as a way for advertisers and marketers to explore into Google’s huge search data, revealing trends, rising searches, and top keywords.
Mainstream marketers and SEO practitioners, spammers and black-hat SEOs will all uses this new tool to the best of the advantage.
After the launch, Charlie Anzman of SEO and Tech daily was to the point about his evaluation of “Google Insights for search’. He said that like any new keyword tool could cause an increase a dilution of results for Google and other search engines.
Aarn Wall of Black Hat SEO said, “High search volume keywords are already very competitive. The black hat ‘spammy’ stuff isn’t usually about ranking on the most competitive terms, and Google Insights isn’t a great tool for finding the terms that black hat does well with. The other part shows popular terms. Spam sites are designed to pick up longer-tail keywords. Drilling down may help with that, but the data isn’t that concrete.”
Earl Gray Of Syndka8 said that he liked ‘ Google Insights for search’ because by using it he gets to see the start of the search rather than just the end when they hit one of my multitude of sites. He goes on to say that what interests him most is the location of the searcher and the search terms or patterns. The believes this tool is a pretty powerful insight and he is sure the corporate SEOs are very excited because it gives them the data that they are unable to find on their own.
“A typical white hat SEO will be looking at the data trying to predict the next year or two but some of the things I am finding could be making me money in the next eight days. Online debt consolidation is up by 180% and the searches from South Africa, the U.K., and Australia seem to be the most active as well as the U.S. on the list.” Earl added.
