MICRO CREDIT program is the solution for the world to reduce the poverty affecting almost half the population of the globe. Where the statistics have proven that half of the world's population live on only $ 2 a day or less than that , which undoubtedly can not meet the obligations of health, education and food . Micro-credit schemes have provided great solutions to increase the rate of daily income for these families and build their capacity.
Mr. Hassan Jaber, MTN's CEO said that such a social initiative aims in the first place to support the Sudanese women and boost interest in this sector, which is the foundation for a good nation... MTN's CEO concluded that this project is the first one for this year and marks the launch of MTN Foundation in Sudan , however many other innovative initiatives would follow.
Mr. Abdul Rahman Al Mahdi, SUDIA Executive Director said that MTN's fund will be directed in favor of four areas in Khartoum State to cover a large number of Sudanese families... He also added that the program provides the possibility of training a number of young people on how to manage small loan programs.
