Facebook’s rapid growth in SA
The social networking site Facebook is growing rapidly within South Africa.
South Africa is amongst the fastest growing countries using Facebook, growing around 33% within the last six months. A survey done on Facebook growth of the first six months of this year showed that there are a estimated 971 908 South African users on Facebook, this shows a 239 320 increase in number since the start of February.
The top six places for Facebook growth also included Argentina, Colombia and Peru. According to numbers released by comScore, Facebook recorded 123 million unique visitors during June making it the the most popular social networking site.
