Huawei Launches Notebooks in South Africa

Huawei Launches Notebooks in South Africa.

Huawei has launched a range of notebooks into South Africa. The range consists of the flagship MateBook X and the 2-in-1 MateBook E, which doubles up as a tablet and notebook.

The notebooks were initially launched in May 2017 and have now finally made their way into the South African market. Speaking at the launch, Likun Zhao, GM of Huawei Business Group South Africa, said “This is the first time Huawei is bringing laptops into the country. We are looking to bring about a new revolution to the industry by combining our knowledge and experience in the smartphone market with our notebook technology.”

Giving a deeper insight into the product, Akram Mohammed, Product Marketing Director at Huawei SA, said “All our competitors are chasing market share. We, however, are focused on creating innovative products that could change lives.”

“This is the first time that smartphone features have been brought to PC. We have focused on a fashionable slim design that is targeted at the business user. We have also transferred many smartphone features, such as a fingerprint scanning, into the notebooks.”
