Samsung Electronics West Africa announced on Monday 25 September 2017 that the latest Smartphone in the Galaxy Note Series, the Galaxy Note 8, is now available for pre-registration in Nigeria until 12 October 2017.
The company revealed that customers who pre-order the device will get added extras such as a free fast charge battery pack and a free back cover upon purchase.
The device which was first unveiled at an event in New York, USA, on 23 August 2017, will be looking to make an impact in the market after the infamous failings of the Galaxy Note 7. The Note 7, which has since been discontinued, was subjected to a series of recalls after it was found that a manufacturing defect in the phone’s batteries had caused some of them to generate excessive heat, resulting in the device catching fire.
In an attempt to calm any fears of a fiery repeat of the Note 7, Samsung said that: “Customers are encouraged to only purchase Samsung Galaxy Note 8 devices from authorised dealers to enjoy a 24-month warranty.”
Paul Lee, Managing Director, Samsung Electronics West Africa, concluded by stating that since the launch of the first Note, technology has rapidly evolved, making what was impossible six years ago now impossible to live without.
To Pre-register the device customers can visit www.galaxynote8.ng and/or select stores nationwide.
