At the Partner Day opening keynote address of VeeamON2017, which is currently taking place in New Orleans from 16-18 May, Veeam unveiled several partner-centric initiatives and offerings to help drive revenue growth and leverage business opportunities.
Peter McKay who has recently been promoted to Co-CEO said, “With these new solutions, Veeam is strengthening its leadership position in the Backup as a Service (BaaS) and DRaaS market and extends its 100 percent channel strategy from resellers to service providers.”
Speaking at the event, McKay said, “Veeam is totally aligned with partner needs, we are about optimising solutions. We are about optimising things as we move forward. It is the best of times for companies that are the agilest in adapting but it is also potentially the worst of times for companies who do not change and become irrelevant to future customers. There is so much disruption going on that companies need to keep evolving”.
“Digital transformation is now the top priority of CEO’s, a couple of years ago, cloud, social media, big data and mobile were the trends but today it is about artificial intelligence, robotics, machine learning, Internet Of Things and blockchains. These are huge disruptors and they also bring opportunities.”
McKay says availability is a must have for CEO’s in order to achieve digital innovation and success, he says users are expecting digital life experiences through availability and they want to experience digital life.
Veeam is aggressively expanding its operations globally, they are growing their enterprise and cloud segments and the company is strengthening its leadership position in the Backup as a Service (BaaS) and Disaster recovery as a Service (DRaaS) market with 100% channel model.
