The latest version of the Xbox range, the Xbox One S, was made available for purchase on Monday. The One S is an update on Microsoft’s Xbox One and comes just months before the release of the Xbox Scorpio at the end of the year.
The new version of the console is significantly smaller than the previous one, the “s” standing for slim, and will be the only console on the market which features 4K video. The console will also support HDR and have a 40% smaller chassis.
The console will be available in an attractive white and will come in 500G and 1TB and will use an internal power supply and will contain an improved hardware based on a newer GPU architecture which will provide greater power efficiency than the original Xbox One.
The recommended retail price for the Xbox One S 500GB is R4,999 while the Xbox One S 1TB will retail for R5,999.
