This month’s Innovation Dinner was held at the DaVinci Hotel and Suite, Sandton, South Africa on 27 August 2014. The theme chosen for the Innovation Dinner was “Enterprise Mobility: The Power of Big Data & Mobility”.

Africa’s foremost ICT publication ITNewsAfrica.com, was joined by Hitachi Data Systems, Microstrategy, and Samsung at the latest IT News Africa Innovation Dinner.

Speakers at the event included:

Cuan Kloppers, CIO, Samanncor Chrome Limited.
Cuan Kloppers is a Registered Professional Natural Scientist (Pr. Sci.Nat) and geologist by profession. He is a Certified SAP Consultant and Certified Quality Systems Auditor.

Paulo Ferreira, Head of Enterprise Mobility, Samsung Mobile, South Africa.
In his role as Head of Enterprise Mobility, Paulo is responsible for Samsung Mobile SA’s Business-to-Business Mobility operations – working with Network Operators, Independent Software Vendors (ISV’s) and System Integrators (SI’s) to position Samsung’s product portfolio and vertical/horizontal software solutions.

Stuart Cheverton, File and Content solutions at Hitachi Data Systems.
Stuart Cheverton joined Hitachi Data Systems (HDS) UK in August 2010. He was transferred to South Africa as business development consultant File and Content solution in January 2013.

Chris McNabney, Director of Sales Engineering at MicroStrategy.
As a Sales Engineering Director with MicroStrategy, Chris is responsible for communicating the benefits of the MicroStrategy product suite into tangible business needs that can be easily understood by executive, business and technical audiences as well as directing the technical sales team and applying resources to high value opportunities.
