MTN South Africa has introduced a new WoW promotion for Prepaid and TopUp customers that gives them anything from R50 to R170 additional value when making calls, sending SMSs and using data.

The promotion is structured according to different tiers where the customer will get bonus airtime and data to spend staying in touch with family, friends and loved ones.

New giveback values are as follows:

Spend Amount *Giveback Amount Giveback Data String to dial
R6.00 R50.00 10MB *130*501#
R8.00 R65.00 15MB *130*502#
R10.00 R100.00 20MB *130*503#
R15.00 R170.00 30MB *130*504#

According to MTN, usage is based on On-net Voice calls and On-net SMS only.

Customers need to opt in by dialling either *130*501# (spend R6 to get R50 and 10MB bonus data), *130*502# (R8 for R65 plus 15MB data), and *130*503# (R10 for R100 plus 20MB data) and (R15 for R170.00 plus 30 MB). Prepaid and TopUp customers can only be active on one tier at a time but will automatically be removed from their existing tier if they opt in to a different one.

Mtn has stated that only one reward will be given per day with the bonus voice and data depleting first before any existing Prepaid and TopUp values.

Customers that are currently on MTN WoW R60 Bonus giveback promotion will continue to benefit from this promotion until they choose another giveback value option. However, customers will not be able to opt-in to thecurrent R60 WoW  promotion when they dial *130*500#.
