During the course of Saturday 5 July 2014, First National Bank customers could not access a majority of functions made available by the bank.
While the bank has stated that the cause of the downtime is due to duplicate transactions going off on some customers’ accounts, the matter has still not been resolved.
Please note we will be reversing all duplicate transactions that have occurred as a matter of urgency. Thank you for your understanding.

The bank stated that the suspension will be brief; however, the ability to transfer money from one account to the other, access certain features of the online banking facility and in app options are still currently offline.
The decision to suspend some online functions is due to multiple complaints, regarding duplicate transactions, spanning across a variety of social media platforms.
