Actress and talkshow host Ellen Degeneres managed to unseat US President Barack Obama as the person with the most retweets ever. During the annual Academy Awards, held last night in Los Angeles, Degeneres managed to get fellow actors Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Brad Pitt, Kevin Spacey and Meryl Streep (among others) to pose for a sefie.

Obama’s 2012 election victory tweet managed to get 780,000 retweets.

After posting the image on Twitter with the caption “If only Bradley’s arm was longer. Best photo ever” it quickly started to gain traction. At the time of writing, the tweet had over 2.3-million retweets.

According to Venture Beat, “The biggest winner here is Samsung, which bought gobs of ad time during the Oscars. Samsung also worked in several “native advertising” moments, which involved Ellen whipping out her white Galaxy Note 3 to tweet photos of the audience. Her first attempt was a blurry mess, but this group photo alone is clearly worth whatever ungodly price Samsung paid to sponsor the Oscars.”

Below is a clip of Degeneres gathering all the actors, and taking the image with her Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
