US rapper 50 Cent, also known as Curtis Jackson, through his company SMS Audio, released his own line of headphones and accessories in 2012. These headphones are now available in South Africa.
“With the new products from SMS Audio we are providing consumers with even more options to enjoy the mobility and convenience of music with professional sound quality. The SYNC by 50 On-Ear Wireless and STREET by 50 Over-Ear ANC Wired adapt seamlessly to user preferences to enjoy music while on the go,” said Zev Cherniak from South African distribution company Gammatek.
The SYNC by 50 On-Ear Wireless headphones, for example, features Bluetooth 4.0 aptX technology with 12 metres (40 feet) range for high-quality sound with impressive dynamic range as well as professionally-tuned 40mm custom drivers.
The Street by 50 Over-Ear ANC Wired headphones eliminates unwanted ambient noise and offers the best in studio-mastered sound. Both headphones feature rechargeable batteries for extended play time.
“SMS Audio is innovating the way people experience music, the way it was meant to be heard wherever you go,” says 50 Cent, CEO of SMS Audio. “We want our SMS Audio technology to be available to anyone who wants the best in audio quality and we will continue to develop new products that make that possible.”
The SYNC by 50 On-Ear Wireless and STREET by 50 Over-Ear ANC Wired headphones are available in cool silver or shadow black for $299 and $349 respectively.
