This new platform will enable business and corporate clients to securely manage their business’ financial affairs anytime and from anywhere in the world.

“We are delighted to introduce an innovative solution that allows our Commercial Banking clients to do their banking conveniently. Our aim is to enable clients to effectively manage their business’ financial affairs while on the move. The introduction of Online Banking Enterprise on Tablet means that one doesn’t have to go into a branch or be in front of a traditional computer to access first-class banking,” said Mike-Vacy-Lyle, CEO of FNB Commercial Banking.

Building on the success of the FNB Online Banking Enterprise platform which offers sophisticated online banking solutions to suit the complex needs of commercial and corporate clients, the latest innovation offers security, convenience and accessibility by enabling clients to make payments, manage their online banking profiles and transfer funds in a cost-effective manner.

“Corporate clients are increasingly adopting tablets as tools to enhance their productivity and we see this new accessibility of Online Banking Enterprise on the FNB Banking Tablet App as an important milestone in our multi-channel strategy” says Lizelle Pienaar, Head of Transactional Banking at RMB Corporate Banking.

To access the new service, clients simply need to download the FNB Tablet App from the Apple itunes App store and Google Play store, and then link their device to their Online Banking Enterprise profile.

Rutger-Jan van Spaandonk, Executive Director of Core Group, South Africa’s authorised distributor of Apple products says, “We are delighted that FNB Commercial Banking and RMB Corporate Bank will be giving their clients the opportunity to manage all their business related banking through an app. We believe that iPad is a great platform to manage one’s business affairs and 95% of Fortune 500 companies are utilising iPad to transform the way they work. Online Banking Enterprise will make commercial and corporate banking even more convenient for South African iPad users and business owners.”

The FNB Tablet App comes with features that permit dual authorisation and clients can also make transfers to recipients who will be able to withdraw the funds without the need of a bank account, using eWallet Pro. There are more than 40,000 businesses who currently use Online Banking Enterprise and who will be able to get access via a Tablet once the App is downloaded and their device linked.
