With Sony inching closer to the release date of their next-generation gaming console, the PlayStation 4, more details have emerged about the system.
Yesterday it was revealed that gamers will be able to have 2 000 contacts in their online friends list.
“The PlayStation 4 has party chat and, I can also tell you, that your PlayStation 4 friends list will let you have up to 2,000 friends,” said Hollie Bennett from Access PlayStation.
Currently, the maximum amount of friends that users can have on their PS3 and PlayStation Network account is 100, so the PlayStation 4 will increase that number by 20-fold.
Sony’s direct competition, Microsoft’s Xbox, previously revealed that they will cap the friends list at 1 000 other players. “That is correct, there will be 1000 friends on the Xbox One,” Microsoft’s Support Twitter account tweet in late May. That is an increase of 10-fold, as the Xbox360 currently limits players to only 100 friends.
