“Cell C is excited to be putting more muscle behind the Red Bull MOBILE brand. With the launch of the new prepaid offering, Red Bull MOBILE is on track to reach new heights,” says Cell C Chief Commercial Officer Jose Dos Santos.

While Red Bull MOBILE has provided more than 120 000 customers with exclusive content and great products since its local launch in 2011, Cell C believes it still has far more to offer as an exciting brand proposition in SA.

“Since launching Red Bull MOBILE, we have been working closely with our partner Cell C to constantly keep dialogue and offer services that reflect the needs of our South African customers,” says Alexander Koppel, Chief Commercial Officer of Sales, Red Bull Media House GmbH.

He says mobile availability is more important than ever before in the everyday life of consumers who are also looking for more personalised added values.

It is with this in mind that Red Bull MOBILE is launching a first of its kind prepaid product, combining a data and voice offering into one. On activation of this product, customers will automatically receive 200MB of data every month for 12-months (2.4 GB in total).

“Our new product is a signature offer: only with Red Bull MOBILE can customers be part of the unique versatile experience that Red Bull unites: exclusive access to exciting events; competitions, such as Red Bull X-Fighters, Formula 1 and  international sport and lifestyle events; secret parties; top athletes; famous music artists; and a variety of digital content covering music, games and applications,” says Koppel.

The Red Bull MOBILE prepaid package will launch with a once-off fee of R99. The launch offer will be available until 31 August, except for Cell C customers who will be able to migrate at this rate whenever they want, after which the activation of the new prepaid package will cost R149.

Red Bull MOBILE customers can recharge using Cell C airtime and get the benefit of Cell C’s SUPACHAGE prepaid airtime, which gives customers more than 100% extra value every time they recharge; including additional airtime and data.

Red Bull MOBILE customers will also receive two Red Bull Studio CD’s, produced by Red Bull Studios Cape Town and mixed by DJ Thibo Tazz and DJ Niskerone. They will also receive access to a vast library of free ringtones, wallpapers, games, music and videos.

Customers will be able to make on-net calls for 99c per minute and have access to pure per second billing. Off-net calls will cost R1,50 per minute. International calls will be billed as per Cell C’s International call rates. Red Bull MOBILE customers can also add a Cell C data bundle and enjoy the company’s standard in- and out- of bundle rates of 15c per MB.

“Our collaboration and drive for constant innovative solutions manifest now in delivering this new prepaid package,” says Koppel.
