“The Airspan network shows excellent results in terms of coverage and enables us to serve our clients in areas where we were previously unable to reach them on our terrestrial network.” said Philip Gerber, RCS-Communication’ Country Manager for South Sudan.

“We made the investment to upgrade our current WiMAX network to the latest generation technology in readiness for further network improvements and specific service offerings we have planned.” said Flippie Odendal, RCS-Communication Managing Director for South Sudan.  “Airspan was selected as our vendor because we believe their solution offers us the best scalability and widest choice of future options.”

Air4G is a dual platform 4G base station enabling operators to run either LTE or WiMAX or both concurrently. This ability allows for a seamless migration to LTE when and where the operator is ready.

In addition to the macro base stations and other related products and services Airspan is supplying RCS with a comprehensive network management system called Netspan, which will also manage any LTE network when deployed if and when RCS decides to activate that.  Together, the network components make a robust and high capacity 4G network which provides customers with reliable high-speed connectivity.

“RCS-Communication is a strategic, experienced and pioneering company serving a diverse base of customers.  Airspan has partnered with RCS to help them deploy a 4G network that will serve customers with a unique and dependable broadband experience,” offered Amit Ancikovsky, President of Products and Sales for Airspan. “Airspan has held to a firm strategy for steadily increasing our Africa market share. We offer African service providers an unparalleled combination of personal customer service with a wide range of cost-effective products which enable a quick, scalable, 4G network deployment.”

Airspan products include Pico, Micro and Macro base stations, a wide variety of user devices, and advanced core network products, providing 4G LTE and WiMAX connectivity solutions operating in the 150 MHz up to 5.9 GHz bands.
