January 3, 2013 • Mobile and Telecoms

Following the introduction of the MTNza KeyPad, an app designed for tablet users to check their airtime balance, buy Internet bundles and recharge their airtime, MTN has improved the application. myMTNza now enables smartphone and feature phone users to enjoy the same benefits of the app and to check their MTN zone discounts, a feature previously not available.

“We have evolved myMTNza to an interactive tool for our customers to have an even more enhanced experience on the app,” says Mapula Bodibe, GM: Consumer Segments at MTN SA. “The app now allows smartphone and feature phone users to access the mobi site and the services that they were unable to access prior; such as recharging airtime, buying SMS & Internet bundle and checking their MTN zone discount directly from their handsets.

myMTNza is based on customer need for convenience and provides customers with the access & 24/7 functionality that was previously not easily available to tablet users. The app does not hold a charge in the various OS stores, however standard data rates apply on the download. No data charges will apply when using the myMTNza app or .mobi site locally in South Africa however if you access links outside the mobi site, there will be a charge.  The app can be downloaded from iOS & Android play stores or alternatively on http://mymtnza.mtn.co.za (PC) or http://mymtnza.mtn.mobi (phone). Data charges may apply to download. For more information log on to www.mtn.co.za or contact 083 123 0145.

The application is currently available in the Android and Apple store.
