Android 4.1 update for Galaxy SIII now available in SA

Samsung Electronics, a maker of Android smartphones, today announced the local availability of Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) software upgrade for the Galaxy SIII.

Jelly Bean makes Android devices even more responsive by adding great new features for users and developers. “These improvements coupled with Samsung’s innovative technology and the power of the Galaxy S III will ensure our customers have a – ‘’beyond smart’’ – immersive mobile experience at their fingertips, wherever they may be.”

The software upgrade is immediately available across all SA Operators. The preferable upgrade is method is via Kies (Mobile PC Client) & as an alternative FOTA can also be used (by downloading the firmware upgrade over the air directly from your mobile phone).
